Rossana Delgado Working File (2021–Present)
On April 20, 2021, the body of 37-year-old Rossana Delgado was discovered at a rented vacation cabin in Cherry Log, Gilmer County, Georgia. She had been abducted four days earlier from the Atlanta metro area. The murder was committed by members and associates of a drug trafficking organization with ties to a Mexican cartel.
This is an ongoing working file. Fourteen individuals were indicted. While many have been convicted, three suspects remain fugitives. We present known public records alongside additional information received from local sources. No conclusions are drawn.

Public Timeline
April 16, 2021 — Rossana Delgado is lured to Plaza Fiesta Shopping Mall in DeKalb County and abducted.
April 16–19, 2021 — She is held at multiple locations in the Atlanta metro area (DeKalb and Clayton Counties).
April 19–20, 2021 — Delgado is transported to a rented cabin in Cherry Log, Gilmer County, where she is murdered.
April 20, 2021 (early morning) — Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office responds to the cabin for a welfare check and discovers her remains.

Additional Information from Local Sources
Information received from individuals familiar with the property and the immediate area shortly after the discovery:
- The perpetrators first attempted to dismember the body using a chainsaw inside the bathroom of the cabin. This attempt was abandoned.
- They then tried to burn the remains in the cabin’s fireplace, which proved ineffective.
- They moved the body outside and attempted to burn it in the fire pit behind the cabin.
- Finally, the remains were placed in a barrel that was rolled down the hill into the woods. The barrel reportedly traveled only a short distance (20–40 feet) before becoming stuck.
Current Status (2026)
Fourteen individuals were indicted in Gilmer County. Multiple defendants have been convicted and sentenced, including ringleader Edwin Murillo (life sentence). Three suspects remain at large with active warrants:
